Vacation in the Northwest

We had a wonderful trip to Idaho and Washington but I don’t know where to begin! I also have hundreds of pics I took but cannot share them all!

We traveled there for a family reunion in Kellogg, Idaho then to my in laws house in Spokane, Washington for a few days. The weather was delightful as usual! Blue skies, no humidity and gentle breezes to stay cool. I wish we had a summer home there. The winters are a different story. We actually lived in Spokane for a few years and sometimes I really miss it.

I tried to stay active on our trip, which isn’t hard to do in the northwest. I did struggle with jogging though. The elevation there is about four times of that in TN. I tried jogging but almost immediately became short of breath. So I walked instead. The views were breathtaking. And without humidity, I could walk and still feel comfortable. No treadmill needed!

It was great meeting family that I had only known through Facebook. Some recognized me as a runner. That’s a great feeling. I’m sure that’s due to my nonstop posts about my workouts and races. I was able to spend time with my sister in law, Shari from Montana and John’s family. We always have a great time when we visit! Here’s a few pics!!
