My birthday weekend has been great so far. Even though it doesn’t really follow my healthy living goals! On Friday night, we packed up and went to my sister’s house in the country to stay the night. I told her she should seriously think about opening a bed and breakfast. I’m sure she would do well! She is an awesome cook and has the cutest little country farmhouse. We had a lovely dinner of southern fried chicken, biscuits, green beans and macaroni and cheese, followed by chocolate cake! No guilt though, its my day to indulge!
After dinner we played Rock band and Guitar Hero for hours while sipping on Cosmopolitans. I got to sing some of my favorite songs, such as “You Outta Know” by Alanis Morrissette and “Lifeline” by Papa Roach. Fun times!
This is the view I woke up to this morning. Lovely!
We came home on Saturday after an exceptional country breakfast. It was a gorgeous day here in Tennessee. The sun was bright without a cloud in the sky. When we got home, I sat on my deck with some iced coffee and my Runner’s World magazine to chill. It doesn’t get much better than this! I also didn’t expect to be sunbathing in early March! I located my sunblock and a pair of shorts so I could get some sun. I am so ready for spring!
Tonight my husband and daughter treated me to a birthday dinner at Red Lobster. It was delicious but I ate too much. They have a deal now for 4 courses for $15.00. I had clam chowder, garden salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing, grilled tiliapia with rice pilaf and broccoli, and a slice of key lime pie.
Now its time to relax with my BFF, my hubby John. Maybe I can get a back rub if I’m lucky. 🙂
I’ll have to hurry up and get back on track from all the overeating this weekend. I have a 5k next Saturday to do! I just only hope the weather will be this nice next Saturday for the Kegs & Eggs 5k!
